The Merrie Monarch festival is a 4-day festival honoring the legacy of King David Kalakaua. The festival “features an internationally acclaimed hula competition, an invitational Hawaiian art fair, hula shows and a grand parade through Hilo town.” According to the festival’s website. Activities will be held from April 24th to the 27th.  

The festival is the perfect opportunity to explore and learn more about local culture as well as watch some of the best Hula in the world. Hilo, the town where the festival is located can be a day trip from the Ranch or a couple of day adventure.

The tickets are hard to get but the town of Hilo revolves around this week-long Hula Festival and Hawaiian culture and Arts.  The Art Fair is INCREDIBLE!   The fair is full of incredible Hawaiian artists and entertainment. This event is not to be missed.
